Companies are getting very aggressive at exploiting our existing personal data, opting us in without proper notice or consent. Here are some recent examples.
To turn opt out of this (and you absolutely should), log into your PayPal account and then go to Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage shared info > Personalized shopping.
I have personal and business PayPal accounts, and don’t even see those privacy options in either one.

General guides or software lists are not permitted. Original sources and research about specific topics are allowed as long as they are high quality and factual. We are not providing a platform for poorly-vetted, out-of-date or conflicting recommendations.
Especially do it for 23andMe because they’re going out of business and will just be doing it to increase the sale price

I’m in the US, and I saw the setting. Unsurprisingly.
I checked my PayPal account and the option for personalized shopping was unchecked. Maybe they changed the default opt-in behaviour?
