Have you tried disabling Dark Reader? I had some similar major issues with the latest Mull update, and disabling that fixed it.
Havent tried that. When you say disable, do you mean globally or just per site?
You could probably turn it off only for each site that gives you issues, but I just disabled the extension entirely until this gets sorted out.

Mull, the browser OP is refering to is prob Mull from DivestOS’ devs, for the Android platform.

Thanks for clearing that up. I totally misunderstood.
As it happens I do use the mull browser on Android. I just tested a couple full screen videos from YouTube. No black bars in the video
