It would be nice if the GrapheneOS dev would work it out with the FairPhone folks to make a device that could be supported. I don’t know why any company would hesitate to work with him, he is obviously doing good stuff, but I agree, Pixel only is kind of a turn off because it doesn’t seem like a long term path to building something sustainable in terms of both hardware and software. It’s a workaround.
Yeah I’ve been kinda surprised and annoyed at the speed with which Proton has gone from “we’re getting our shit together” to “here is a decent professional product” to “let’s add some bullshit that no one is asking for!”
Agree… I paid big for a 5 year standard notes subscription when they were still scrappy and the product wasn’t really all that polished. I hardly used it because it was buggy and the UI wasn’t that great. Now, it’s amazing and I am using it regularly. That said, the price has gone up substantially. I’d like to see it become part of the proton bundle.
