Obsidian just uses local markdown files, so probably

If your key is exposed, all of your messages will be too, hence why privacy guides doesn’t recommend it

Well at the very minimum all vpns have your IP, so it’s not a big deal if proton complys with the law, Don’t understand why we expect corporations to break the law

Any matrix clients with PFS
I like the idea of matrix, but too much is unencrypted in element ( Profile pictures, reactions, nicknames) and no PFS in element is a bit of a dealbreaker. I know that the protocol supports PFS, so there has to be a client for it. Any clients that help with most of what I would like?

That’s the opposite of what I said, it went to GitHub before the play store, so I need to use f Droid to update.

Proton mail update
I use neo store to download apps on f Droid, and it keeps on asking me to update proton mail to 3.0.16, and this version is not on the play store. It does say it's from izzyondroid, meaning that it comes from GitHub, so did the devs just update GitHub before the play store?

Map apps like google maps that support public transportation, and the quality of citymapper’s privacy
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/2383777 > I currently use citymapper as my mapping app, as it is the best one to use where I live, but I am concerned about its privacy, and the alternatives do not support public transport. osmand technically does, but it is in beta and may be unreliable. what alternatives do I have?

Grapheneos or calyxos
I know that grapheneos has additional security measures compared to calyx, but does it include a similar app to datura firewall, which controls what apps are allowed network access, and I also like some of calyxos' other features like including aurora store and the panic button, grapheneos feels very barebones, but I have not used either of them yet, so I don't think I can make a definitive decision
