Hey all, I’m thinking of moving my whole family over to Proton Family, mostly for the combination of multiple email accounts for our custom domain and shared storage.

But I have some considerations, currently we have a single account from another storage provider where we all sync upload photos to different folders. I then have a sync to PC so I always have a local backup of everything, both in case anything happens to the provider and also if I want to switch provider everything is already exported.

My question is, is it possible to have something similar with proton? Can the proton client sync both files and photos to PC? I’ve tried reading up but it’s not clear to me.

Thanks in advance edited for clarity

That’s not clarifying things for me I’m afraid. Are you saying that the photo upload from on phones will end up on the drive, and since they are files they will be downloaded to my PC? My understanding is that photos are not treated the same way as files in Proton.

Yeah I didn’t realize they pulled shenanigans like that.
