@LinkOpensChest_wav @BCsven Indeed there was an error, and some users to whose subscriptions this price change (https://proton.me/blog/proton-pass-price-change) doesn’t apply have received an email about it. We then sent out a correction email. Please check your spam folder if you can’t find it. If it’s not there either, please let us know.

@protonmail@mastodon.social You’re on Mastodon, and I’m on Lemmy, so I hope you see this.

Indeed there was an error, and some users to whose subscriptions this price change

This is my first time seeing notice of the price change. I don’t think it affects me though, since my subscription is Proton Unlimited, not Proton Plus.

We then sent out a correction email. Please check your spam folder if you can’t find it. If it’s not there either, please let us know.

I just checked again. There is no such email in my inbox, spam, trash, or anywhere else. The last email I received from you was on October 25, 2023.

I also checked my email preferences, and I immediately got another popup promoting your password manager, and no option to dismiss it. Is this another error? Also, is it normal that I haven’t received any emails from you since October 25, 2023? As you can see, I’m signed up for important announcements, user surveys, and Drive product updates.

The promotions I was seeing were not emails, but were integrated into the Proton VPN Android app. At least an email could be easily deleted. This was an ad for a promotional offer that I had to look at every time I used the Proton VPN app, which is something I frequently use.

@LinkOpensChest_wav Sorry for the confusion, the pricing post is for those currently on a Proton Pass Plus plan.

Is it normal that I haven’t received an email since October 25, 2023?

Is it normal that I got a pop-up advertising your password manager with no way to x out of it, even though that’s one service I don’t use?

Is it normal that I had a persistent, indismissable promotional message in my Proton VPN app around the New Year?

@LinkOpensChest_wav If you’ve faced any issues with receiving emails that you were expecting to receive, please contact us at https://proton.me/support/contact so we can look further into that.

Regarding email subscriptions (i.e. promotional emails), you can turn them off in your All Settings → Dashboard tab.

@LinkOpensChest_wav @protonmail lmao proton on here just boosts posts about them, good or bad, and never gives helpful responses. Funny to read

proton on here just boosts posts about them

They do the same via email. I contacted them through their help portal like they told me, and I got an email with the exact same canned response that doesn’t have anything to do with my inquiry! I’m about done with them. I pay for Unlimited and they can’t even answer a question?

How is this a response to what I wrote? How do I turn off the promotions that appear in the apps themselves? How do I turn off the popups?
