Grapheneos supports google play services and store etc. It feels like a normal phone. If you don’t want google play services in your main profile, use a user profile for it instead.

Make a backup and save it.

You can reinstall stock if you don’t like it.

Grapheneos is just a normal OS. You can’t do everything, like google pay or face unlock (because it’s too insecure) but 99% works just like any other android phone.

Installing the os doesn’t take too much time.

I prepared by moving all apps to foss and I disabling all google related stuff, read a lot, but in the end I should’ve just installed it. It’s not magic and nothing is special.

Even though I don’t like apple for it’s closed ecosystem and it’s monotheistic behavior but it’s still sad to hear that it’s not as perfect as advertised

Brave is the best chromium browser, so no, brave is no spy ware.

There are some sites that don’t work with firefox…

Wrong forum. Ecosia is not very good for privacy.

Iirc opentracks works better with import/exports. Apart from that, both do their job.

  1. Use osmand or opentracks instead. Opentracks is strava without (social) sharing

Pass has a more modern ui and works better on my phone. It integrates with simplelogin a tiny bit better

Why?

The ~change~ introduction sounds reasonable

Isn’t the bridge end2end?

I don’t depend on the feature which is why I didn’t read (care) about it. I use the bridge with thundebird which works okish.

Maybe they’ll release the drive client with ProtonPhotos or ProtonChat

I hope you voted for the client on https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/932839-proton-drive/suggestions/45271456-linux-client-for-syncing

Proton is becoming better every day. Oftentimes it’s easier to push new services than to polish old ones. And they explained a lot of times that there are different teams working on different products.

But some basic things were promised many years ago and they did not yet deliver yet which is sad

I use wireguard with proton on gnome and on kde. You have to use configuration files but if you read into it it’s easy and works flawlessly.

Btw, that’s the only method there is if you want to open ports with protonvpn

Afaik, element doesn’t support stories which fluffy does and element call and sliding sync are only supported by element-x.

It’s strange that there’s no good feature request for material (you) on https://protonmail.uservoice.com/ Maybe someone should open one?

I really like the app so far. It’s really easy to use and has a nice UI.

One big disadvantagr is that no proton app is material you
