I keep seeing this posted every once in a while and I am completely confused on how clicking the ads is supposed to hurt anyone. If anything, it just helps the site by getting them paid for the clicks.

Is it? I know it’s ActivityPub but I never see posts from Mastodon on Lemmy. Does it only go the other way?

All the “necessary” cookies are login stuff. If you never log in, it won’t affect you. And even if you do login, it simply won’t keep you logged in on subsequent visits.

All I get in my Gmail is spam and confirmation codes for 2fa shit. Their AI is just gonna end up being really good at mimicking spam and hacking into accounts.

Google Messages RCS constantly fucks up and doesn’t send or receive shit anyway. I also want something else because ever since they introduced that shit, I get texts late if I get them at all, and nobody else seems to get mine.

I don’t give a fuck about anything other than having the main purpose of the app do what it’s fucking supposed to do.
