Why not use the emails you guys already have? I don’t think I or even you guys would want to use an email created by parents, since the username might not even be something they would have chosen for themselves.
Let them have an email when they are old enough to create their own. Use something like simplelogin maybe instead for an alias email instead that still comes to your email but looks separate for relatives it is sent to? I wouldn’t want a premaid email account of my own before I was old enough.
Even if it weren’t free companies would likely have moved towards collecting data. Just look at how the price tag of cars doesn’t protect you from not being a product.
I’m not concerned. And it just gives me less incentive to bother using YouTube through official means. I already find the unofficial methods to be superior with adblocking, sponsorblock, background play, and being able to hide shorts or trends from showing up.
Can still use with vpn which means nothing using the YouTube site with vpn. Having an account simplifies the whole process too not even having to rely on IP address.
Looks like my avoidance of ads is paying off with newpipe and freetube replacing using a signed in YouTube use to watch videos and keep track of my subscriptions.
