I hope they introduce the option to have two subscriptions soon. That’s actually a pretty easy option. I don’t like having a significantly more expensive product forced on me.

I thought the same but support wrote to me: „…they are looking into this idea since there are users that are requesting it, however, the Proton Pass feature, as well as the Pass Plus plan, are recently released and we can assure you that adding a new subscription plan isn’t on our roadmap.“

According to customer support, there are no plans to do so either. They wrote to me: “There are currently no such plans and it has never been discussed”.

The way they force you onto their most expensive plan is not very transparent to me. I have Pass Plus and I can’t upgrade to Mail Plus. I would have to upgrade to Unlimited with features I don’t need.

I recently tested Proton Pass and really liked it. I immediately got the limited offer for 12€ per year. Then I thought about it for a while and wanted to get Mail Plus as well.

To my negative surprise, I can’t subscribe to Mail Plus if I have Pass Plus and would have to switch to Unlimited. 12.99€ per month is far too expensive for me and paying for 1 or 2 years straight away is too much.

Since I don’t need a VPN or a 500GB drive, I’m now considering between Skiff and Tutanota. Although I would actually rather have Proton Mail…

Yes, I thought about two Proton accounts, but the effort is too much for me. I have 2 options now: Not switching to Proton at all, or opting for Mail Plus and hoping the free pass is enough for me. Maybe in the future they will introduce an option to add different subscriptions.

Why can’t I combine Mail Plus with Pass Plus?
I would like to change my Gmail for Proton Mail. The monthly option for Mail Plus seems reasonable to me. The cost for Unlimited seems a bit too high. I don’t like paying 1 or 2 years in advance. Proton Support said it is impossible to combine Proton Mail Plus monthly with the Pass Plus for 12 euros/year. Is there really no possibility?

Why should they do that? We are their customers. Google is selling ads. We are googles product for their paying customers, companies.
